Reindeer Totem Pendent

The Sámi people inhabit Sápmi which is the northern areas of Norway, Sweden and Finland as well as the Kola Peninsula of Russia. They are traditionally a nomadic or semi nomadic people who’s lives are closely interwoven with the reindeer as can be seen in depictions of ancestral rock art.

For me the reindeer is sacred a symbol of wisdom, knowledge and creativity, i also wanted to bring into this pendent my Sámi roots by using ancient art. This beautiful pendant is carved in Oak and features a leather necklace with copper, Bronzite and quartz beads.
