Jörð, also referred to as Fjörgyn, is the personification of the Earth in Norse mythology, a comparison in Greek mythology would be Gaia. She is also thought to be the goddess Nerthus. This jötunn goddess is also the mother of Þórr (Thor) the sky god and lover of Óðinn.
Jörð is wood burnt onto a 6.5cm piece of antler and has the Berkano rune on the rear of the pendant. Berkano is the rune of the womb and motherhood, and as an earth goddess she also represents fertility as she makes the seed in her womb grow, remaining throughout life and accepting when life is no more as we return to mother Earth.
This Jörð pendant has a necklace made from leather with Bronzite and black moonstone beads.
